Important Information

Jan. 23, 24th are Teacher Workdays. Students return on Jan. 25th to begin second semester classes. 
 
First semester report cards will be sent home with students on Jan. 30th.  Please call the school to request a copy if your child does not bring their report card home on the 30th.
 

 
Coat Drive

FCA will be having a coat drive until January 29.  Please donate any new or used coats.  All coats should be placed in the box outside room 608.  All the coats collected will given to Christian Ministries.

Concussion

Gfeller-Waller Concussion Awareness Act was drafted and implemented to protect the safety of student-athletes in North Carolina and was signed into law on June 16, 2011 by Governor Beverly Purdue.  There are three major areas of focus in the law and these include: education, emergency action and postconcussion protocol implementation, and clearance/return to play or practice following concussion.

Membership is $6 per person and any member of the family may join!

PTO is offering two senior students (one male, one female) a $500.00 scholarship each. The student must be a PTO member and will be entered into an end of the year drawing as many times as the years  they are members. If your student is a member for 4 years, they will be entered 4 times.


 
We are very excited about supporting our school's technology needs. Look for upcoming ways you can help us raise funds to update and purchase new computers, calculators and Smartboards for NLHS. 100% of your money stays at our school.  Each membership and or donation will help us reach our goals. Thank you for your support! 



PTO is selling North Lincoln Tervis cups.  They are available in the media center.

  

 
Congressional Medal of Honor

Joe Marm visited North Lincoln on October 13, 2011.  He is a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient from the Vietnam war.


 

 
Cross Country

The boys cross country team finished in 1st place and are the State Cross Country Champions.  The girls cross country team finished in 2nd place in the state competition.  Larger pictures are shown on the NLHS pictures page.
 

 
The Knight Pride

The Knight Pride award this month will go to a student that shows "caring."  This student would be caring and thoughtful towards classmates and school staff.

The Knight Award winners for the week of 12/16/11 are Rebecca, Elijah, Jeff and Miranda.

Clemson Signing

Miller Capps will be playing golf next year for Clemson University.  Larger pictures are shown on the NLHS pictures page.
